Parents in Pangbourne

My parents come to town for a pub lunch to celebrate my birthday.

The day begins when my parents arrive at my home in Reading to meet Bobet and myself. We stop for drinks and a chat before heading out for lunch. Annoyingly my parents return to their car to find a parking ticket due to an incorrectly completed visitor permit.

We drive to nearby Pangbourne and an old country pub dating from 1642 on the banks of the river Thames called The Swan. We find a table in the conservatory with views overlooking the patio and river occupied by ducks, swans and river boats. A Sunday roast is on the menu for the boys with scampi & chips for the girls, followed by cheese cake or treacle tart for dessert.

After lunch we stop for photos in front of the weir before heading our separate ways.
